Re-Opening Cases
To request a re-opening of your case or cases, you must request the re-opening in writing to the Hobart/Lawrence Municipal Court. You may use the Request to Re-Open Form. There is a non-refundable administration fee of $50 per case that must accompany your request. You will have to prove there is valid reason(s) for your re-open request.
You may complete this process in person or by mailing in the form with payment. You can mail the completed form and the non-refundable administration fee of $50, per case, payable to the Village of Hobart to:
Hobart/Lawrence Municipal Court
2990 South Pine Tree Road
Hobart, WI 54155

Judge Schreiber will review your request to re-open and decide to grant or deny your request.
If your request is granted, a Pre-Trial Hearing will be scheduled. The court will mail you a Pre-Trial Notice indicating the date/time you will meet with our prosecuting attorney. If you fail to appear, the original conviction will stand.

If Judge does not grant the request to reopen, you will still owe the forfeiture(s) for the violation(s).
